Free material data within the Dataportal, formerly MLine Pro
Since 2007, thanks to the initiative of the Bavarian Research Association for Materials Science together with the University of Bayreuth, the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and BMW AG, over 6000 materials made of metals (especially steels), ceramics, composite materials, plastics and natural materials have been merged in the database, formerly known as M-Line 2. WIAM has set itself the goal of continuously enriching the material database with additional materials. The material database supports companies and engineers in their daily work with materials. Find parameters and data on the materials used and help us continue to offer them free of charge.

WIAM® METALLINFO
Do you need reliable and secured characteristic values for standard materials? Do you know the properties of the construction material for your application and are you now looking for the potential materials? Do you want information on suppliers and synonyms in the context of European and especially German standardization? Do you need to recode a material for another market?
With WIAM® METALLINFO you get the material database for metals with over 6,000 materials, 180,000 modifications and over 2 million parameters from European and German standardization.
This also includes the provision of flow curves, stress-strain diagrams, fatigue strength behavior and time-temperature conversions based on test data from IMA Dresden and other reliable sources.
WIAM® Engineering Data
Do you research material parameters from reliable data sources in order to fill your material models, create material cards and, ideally, automatically upload them to a simulation program?
WIAM® Engineering Data offers an extensive range of materials and material models for simulation applications within a cloud service.
You can load the material data for mechanical, thermomechanical and thermodynamic simulation in MatML format directly from WIAM® Engineering Data into your CAE application, e.g. for Ansys® Workbench, or you can create your own materials and parameters directly to create your individual database for your construction material to continue.
WIAM® MMPDS
Are you looking for trustworthy and regulatory parameters for metallic materials and alloys that may be used in the aerospace industry? Would you like to know how good a parameter is across suppliers and batches? Do you know the limits of use for your application and are you looking for suitable materials?
WIAM® MMPDS provides online the database of MMPDS, published by the aerospace consortium Battelle. These statistically secured parameters for the materials approved for use in the aerospace industry are checked, including details of their reliability, by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the American Department of Defense and NASA.
